The weeks are just zipping by, but I say that every Friday, don’t I?
This week was filled with making tons of phone calls, sorting moving stuff and trying to sort my stuff before we have to start packing. I’m so awful at getting rid of things and I really need to start slimming down on the stuff I have and the stuff I buy in the future. I’m a stress shopper and I really need to start being a stress SAVER. I invested a bit in some Pinterest/Instagram templates and now that I have I’m like what can I post next… while I have a TON of content pending, I tend to feel like ehh, maybe now isn’t the best time then I miss the seasonal window.
I got back on FFXIV, kinda. There’s so much to catch up on and honestly all I did was change my gear cause even then, the upgrade from the last time I was on in insane in terms of the ilvl (the item level; the higher the item level the less squishy you are). I’m told in order to keep leveling my crafters (I’m a total crafter in any game I’m on) I’m going to have to do Main Story Quests and more dungeons. Sigh. Weird ass Shadowbringers requirements. I also hopping back on Animal Crossing and HOLYYY WEEDS.
The weeks are just zooming by I feel like. We’re already in the ninth month of 2020. But it feels like 2020 has been going on for like 20 years itself. I’m not stressing about “the new normal” as much now as I was in the beginning, but I am still paranoid and stressing over how to keep myself and the kiddo safe and healthy. The problem is we can take every precaution and a 3rd party member can just ruin everything for us.
This week Tums as been watching someone named Blippi over Daniel Tiger so I guess I can’t be that mad. He’s less annoying that Daniel. She also WALKED ON HER OWN this week!! I’m so proud of her!! She takes small steps by herself on the bed when she’s watching her cartoons but if you ask her to do it she’ll definitely act like she has no idea what you’re talking about. We settled on an apartment to move to, thank goodness. Heard my mother in law has been asking my husband where we’re moving to and it’s seriously making me uncomfortable.
Maybe I should just start weekly recap posts cause this is already way too long lmao.
This week has been a bit of a blur and emotions; I’ve been waiting for my clarity to come back and now that it has slowly started creeping in, so have other thoughts and memories and emotions. My dad’s birthday was also this week. Adult things are stressing me out from when I somehow just didn’t adult.
I’ve also spent most of this week focusing on SEO, social media marketing, especially with Pinterest. Although I have 10+ years of experience in blogging and social media and even though I graduated in social media from Full Sail University (in Dec of 2015, it’s been awhile), social media and the world of blogging is always changing and with everything that’s happened in the last few years… I’m trying not to beat myself up about falling behind. The important part is that I’m back to wanting to LEARN the new systems.
〉I invested in some of Ell’s courses and I’m only 60% into the Pinterest one, it’s full of so much information it’s making my head spin. In a good way! She offers 3 free courses if you’re looking to update yourself as well!
〉I’ve also been slightly slowly prepping for NaNoWriMo this year; I had the urge to start a story a few nights ago on a whim. Which literally hasn’t happened in about 6 years. So I’m pretty excited about that. I signed up for Swoon Reads and I’m hoping to craft a manuscript before they open up for submissions again.
This week has been pretty slow; I’ve been invested in working on my food blog and on me and my BFF’s travel blog (which still needs A LOTTT or work). So I haven’t really been bookmarking a ton of things or on Twitter as much as I should or I guess feel like I should be! I hate the new WP editor btw, it definitely lags my laptop and it’s just so frustrating!

Am I the only one who absolutely loves reading posts like this? I got this idea from Lark & Linen’s Monday Musings and Joy The Baker’s Let It Be Sunday; two blogs I’ve been reading for what feels like FOREVER. I have to admit I look forward to both of these blog posts of theirs every week!
Then again I’m pretty much a sucker for all things round up post like. I know I love lists but dang, do I love them that much? The answer is yes, yes I do.
And because this is a mental health blog (technically), I think I’ll add something I’m thankful for every week (I use to do weekly recap posts on my old old personal blog and I honestly miss doing them but I don’t think there’s an audience here for that). I need to sprinkle MORE positivity into my life (cause you can’t have too much, I hope)!
I usually only run errands on Sat (tbh it’s the ONLY DAY I get to get out of the house, no joke) but last Saturday I got to run them in one of my current favorite cities. It also turned into a foodie day of yummy Macarons, cupcakes, a new chicken place find and donuts that my husband and baby ate before I could even have one. So there’s that lol. But also this week I spent some time texting my childhood bff turned DOCTOR and of course it’s always a good week when my bff AJ can squeeze some time to call or you know, we align our days so that we’re both awake at the same time lol. Adulthood is hard, but the fact that my friends who are states away make me feel like I’m never alone really speaks volumes and I love them all to The Death Star and back!
I know it’s been quiet here the past week. My intention was to study up on Pinterest marketing and learn all I could about Pinterest ads since I don’t exactly know how to get it to drive traffic to my blog. I posted a bit on my hazearella IG, gotta post all those Spring/Summer product shots before I move into the Fall stuff. I’m also trying to work out a post sched for this blog. I had originally planned to post 3x a week with 2 of those posts being weekly features (such as this one and Monday Mindful Manifestation leaving 1 post open for whatever else. Seemed organized enough but I’m working on the networking part of blogging also.
Anyway, I hope you all had a great week! It’s finally the weekend though with Covid it hardly feels like anything to celebrate or plan for anymore.

It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these and tbh most of the stuff I’ve been bookmarking/screenshotting is either Animal Crossing design codes or new snacks I wanna try.
The lock down is starting to get to me; only because Fall is right around the corner and I won’t be able to freely run around and do all the fun Fall things I wait all year for. So here’s to hoping the second Animal Crossing Summer update is gonna be epic + there will be tons of new snacks and products to try!

I thought to create this weekly feature to share some of the blog posts I’ve found during the week!
I know with the whole world-on-lock-down going on a lot of us are having to cancel and miss out on things we’ve been looking forward to like vacations and celebrations. A few of my friends had to cancel their weddings and we had to cancel Tums first birthday celebration (though I think I’m going to do a Facebook Live of it, not sure yet) as well as my birthday celebration to Vegas (after not being back there in 9 years, sigh).
Despite that I’ve actually been really into looking at travel blogs and travel pinterest accounts as inspo for where I want to jet off to next… and dream about going on vacation lol.
